Dan Parry-Jones 'Beach Hula Hoop'
Bristol based Dan Parry Jones' paintings are distinctive by their multi-layered textures. By using painting, collage and silkscreen elements, he creates works that are urban in feel, but warm and expressive in their subject matter; poignant images of children playing on beaches or exploring playing fields or woods; he's also strongly influences by his travels, often finding that even a short trip abroad can mean lots of new material to bring back to the studio. He's attracted to shuttered windows and graffiti, shop signage and almost banal details, bringing life by adding bright colour
