We’re excited to be taking part in Oxford Gallery Weekend on 17th and 18th June! Bringing together the best of Oxford’s visual art offerings, Oxford Gallery Weekend is a project spearheaded by the team at Meakin + Parsons X Hannah Payne Gallery. Visitors are invited to explore galleries across the city, using a specially produced map in a self-guided tour.
Galleries such as Rona Painting Gallery in Jericho will host live painting events; meanwhile Irving Contemporary will open their exhibition ‘Long Shadows’ with an opportunity meet the artist on Saturday 17th June. The Ruskin School of Art will open their degree show to the public – who knows, perhaps you’ll spot the next Turner Prize winner amongst the graduates!
Here at Sarah Wiseman Gallery of course, prepare to immerse yourself in colour with Emily Powell’s stunning solo exhibition ‘The Fundamental Importance of Nature’. We’ll be open an additional Sunday (18th June) for an extra opportunity to see the show.
