Last week, we celebrated the Sarah Wiseman Gallery's 25th Anniversary after opening it's doors on 1st May 1998, along with Veronica Wells for her first solo show 'Faces Amongst Spaces - and celebrations we certianly had! Bubbles were drunk, canapes nibbled and laughs had, it was a truly wonderful evening.
We were delighted to see lots of friends join us for the occassion and make it the joyous event it was. Alongside this, we have recieved messages of support from customers and artists around the UK and beyond. Thank you all so much for your wonderful wishes.
Veronica's work illuminates a distincitve style in her figurative strokes. Her new works showing ambition in scale and style, we are thrilled to have Veronica's paintings on show. Sarah says: 'The one thing Veronica is most certain of is that we all have many faces and facades that we present to the world. This is where her interests lie. In this respect, Veronica’s painting engaged collectors instantly, as I knew they would. There is something about them that acts as a mirror to us, which naturally appeals.'
'Face Amongst Spaces' is now on show until Saturday 27th May.
