To celebrate the launch of ‘The Dog Show’ by Catherine Rayner this spring, we’re inviting children in Oxfordshire to send in their drawings of dogs and the chance to win some fantastic prizes! Read below to find out how to take part.
Award-winning children’s author & illustrator Catherine Rayner is coming to Oxfordshire and she wants to see your art!
Superhero dog or a best-pal? Hairy, fluffy or smooth? Big or small? Real dog or toy dog? Draw, paint, scribble, blob or stamp a picture of your favourite dog on a piece of paper or card no bigger than A4. Then ask a grown-up (mum, dad, teacher or another trusted adult) to take a photo of your picture and email it to us at drawadog@wisegal.com by 31st March 2022.
The judges will select one overall winner from each age category.
4-7 age category:

Grown ups! Before your child enters the competition, please read these T&C:
- This competition is open to children living in Oxfordshire aged 4-11.
- We’re looking for children’s drawings of their favourite dog (real or imaginary) in any medium on a piece of paper or card no larger than A4 (21cm x 28cm) Entries should be all your child's work.
- Please don’t send us the original artwork just yet. Instead email one clear image that is either a SCAN or PHOTOGRAPH of your child’s drawing, along with their name and age, and title of their picture, if they have one. We will also need a parent or guardian name and telephone number. Please email your entries to this address: drawadog@wisegal.com no later than Midnight, Thursday 31st March 2022.
- One image per email entry please.
- We cannot accept entries without your child’s name, age and phone number of parent or guardian.
- Once emailed, please look after your child’s original drawing – keep it in a safe place, just in case! Winners will be asked to post or drop off their artworks to us here at Sarah Wiseman Gallery so that we can frame them as part of your prize.
- By emailing us your entry, you are consenting to the Sarah Wiseman Gallery sharing images of your child’s artwork on the gallery’s social media and with local press, should they be selected as a winner. We will not disclose the child’s full name on social media.
