Here on South Parade, we're excited to be joining Art Late on Wednesday 8th December for a sociable evening of art, conversation and fun. Art Late was founded in neighbouring Woodstock, Oxfordshire, in the summer of 2021 when the numerous galleries in the town got together to form an exciting new art event series.
Joining forces with The North Wall, Sarah Wiseman Gallery is delighted to be on board for the first time in December's evening events. Art Late | Woodstock will take place on 1st December, before The North Wall and Sarah Wiseman Gallery open their doors on Wednesday 8th December.
At Sarah Wiseman Gallery, there will be an opportunity to meet some of our artists, who will be in attendance, and view the annual Christmas group exhibition Deck the Walls! In the annual Christmas Exhibition, Sarah Wiseman Gallery hand-picks the best of British contemporary artists and makers to see all in one place. 'Our Christmas show is the place to find something beautiful for the art lover in your life.'
At The North Wall, you can view Outside, an exhibition of three Oxfordshire-based printmakers: Lizzie Wheeler, Manja Scott and Susan Wheeler. The printmakers connect their artistic vision through their shared appreciation of the natural world. In the show visitors can expect to see a tour de force of printmaking as the artists' cross disciplines, using 5 different printmaking techniques.
Connecting the two venues, you'll be able to follow the twinkly lights between each location in our mini-light trail along South Parade, and soak up the festive atmosphere.
