Henrietta Dubrey | New Works
Now on show in the gallery is a striking new collection of Henrietta Dubrey's paintings. Strong, confident line and bold colours characterise her work, giving it a sense of directness and immediacy. Henrietta is well-known for her abstract work but she also explores figurative painting, often drawing inspiration from Picasso, Pierre Bonnard and Egon Schiele among others but also from contemporary sources such as fashion magazines, photography and film.
Living and working in Cornwall, Henrietta's work is associated with the St Ives School of Painters and Sculptors. Her paintings can be found in many important collections, such as the De Beer's collection.
Later in October, we will also show work by Rebecca McLynn and Helen Ward.
