A Winter Gathering: New works by Bee Bartlett, Clare Bonnet, Christopher Farrell, Peter Kettle, Elaine Jones, Sarah Spackman

Featuring a large gathering of one hundred ceramic snow people made by Oxfordshire based artist Clare Nicholls, the gallery will be brimming with festive delights, including painting, printmaking, sculpture and ceramic.

Oxfordshire-based Clare Nicholls has a mighty task ahead - producing one hundred snow people by hand as part of the Winter Exhibition display. Each character is unique, individually sculpted and hand decorated. Clare is a highly accomplished ceramicist, having exhibited nationally since graduating in 1994. Her work ranges from sculptural pieces to decorative platters inspired by natural history and folklore.  

A Winter Gathering will also feature work by locally and nationally based artists like Sarah Spackman, Athol Whitmore, Elaine Jones and Bee Bartlett. Look out for a new addition to the gallery Christopher Farrell, who paints striking urban landscapes, most notably of London.

Our artists have been hard at work creating collections of painting, printmaking, ceramics and lots else besides. There's plenty of wonderful festive gift ideas ranging from handmade, heirloom decorations to beautiful paintings and sculpture for that very special present.
Sarah Wiseman Gallery will be welcoming visitors to the exhibition with warming mulled wine and mince pies for the exhibition's launch on Saturday 26th November.
