Michelle House creates graphic panels informed by geometry. Inspired by the physical mixing and layering of colours, Michelle screenprints onto fabrics to create her original pieces. The photographic elements of her works derive from the London’s architectural surroundings, selecting and editing the images to create her compositions digitally.
Michelle studied Textiles at Goldmiths, and soon after was awarded a Crafts Council Setting-Up Grant. She has since exhibited at Collect in 2012 and 2021, RWA Open, Dulwich Picture Gallery, Folkestone Triennial, London Craft Week, Ruthin Craft Centre, Gallerie Handwerk (Munich) and SOFA Chicago. She is a member of CAA, Crafts Council Directory of Makers, Find a Maker, The 62 Group of Textile Artists and a Fellow of Design Nation. Her work is part of the art collection at the British Academy.
